well I am off to an appointment with the Pediatrician, we found out on Monday that my youngest son is deaf in his right ear. I guess the next stop will be an ENT.

We were told 3 years ago Julian has 60% hearing loss in the right ear...but not enough for services though.

well back in december the ped. did a hearing test and he wouldnt respond out of either ear...there was no sign of fluid in the right ear. the bill wilkerson clinic did the test monday and said he had fluid in the ear and he had no hearing at all. today the ped. looked and said he had an active infection in the right ear and prescribed omnicef and we are to go back in a couple of weeks. here's my dilemma i had multiple ear infections as a baby, child and teenager even now i get them, i have had tubes and everything. i never lost all my hearing when i had fluid in my ears..can fluid in the ear actually make you lose your hearing temporarily? or permantly?
