for about a year or two I have been searching, thinking, collecting my resources to try something. Something new is sorelt neede in our area but....
It's scary, ASD parents can be very untrusting (I know
), what if I loss my son's progress in the attempt to help others.
None of these things change my focus.
I am currently upgrading my professional credentials as an R.N. so that I can "represent"
I feel like I'm on an ocean journey and can't see the shore, but praying its there someday
I'm patient, stubborn, intelligent and have a big heart but is there anything else you could recommend? lol

What kind of ideas do you have? I've noticed that autism seems to inspire many parents to create businesses and found companies.....when you see a need, right?

That half of m problen right now. There are so many directions to go and so many needs that I need to start some where.
That is half of the reason that I started volunteering and going back to school. An informal communtiy assessment I guess. My husband was in maketing & advertising previously and he is always telling me you need to know your client. I know how it is for us but we do not seen to be the noral ASD family.
The other thing is that there are so many great services available through e-applications. Everything has ben thoguht of and done it sems but noone here sems to use any of it.
If I was american I would definatelt have a center open already. My sister-in-law is a SLP, and the other is a social worker, My siste is a speach aid, my friend is a beaviouralis, me and my husband are R.N.'s, (y husband is actually a amanger even) but the system is tricker here. People do not want to spend their money on anything for their children. Even is the systen is failing the would rather complain than pick up their ouwn resources and see ehat they can do. I guess an scotting out to see is peopple are ready for some idependence.
Thanks
