My son loves numbers, he knows all his letters upper and lowercase letters.... but letter sounds he just doesn't get. He is 6 and in kindergarten.

Any suggestions?

Re: Reading

Make it a game. Do just the sounds, don't name the letter. He's focused on the letter, this will change when he sees the connections with the words. TV videos with words that are written help, also flash cards. When he get's the words, then cover the word and talk about letters making sounds. You can even make them characters, Just keep making it fun, he'll catch on.

Re: Reading

Hi-
There are a fair number of teachers on this site---just type in the word "teacher" in the search box, and anyone who uses that word as a tag will be displayed.  They may be able to offer suggestions.  Also, lots of parents homeschool as well, so use the keyword "homeschool" or "homeschooling" and see if you can find parents who may have some experience teaching reading to their ASD kids.  Good luck!
