Hi-
I'm in Harpswell-- about 45 minutes north.  I can tell you that we do have a growing number of Mainers here at Foggyrock and I hope they come out to say hello.....What sort of resources have you been able to tap into in th Portland area?

What a great group of folks!  Have you joined a Maine Group for more local information sharing?

Re: Any members in the Greater Portland Maine area?

Hi!  We live in Casco (near Sebago Lake) which is about 45 minutes from Portland.  The rural area is wonderful for the children in some ways, but it does distance us from many resources which the Portland area offers.--lisadianne2

Re: Any members in the Greater Portland Maine area?

Hi there!
I'm in West Gardiner - about an hour north of Portland.
If anyone decides to pursue getting together, I'd love to join you.

My son was diagnosed with autism at 5 years old and Down syndrome at birth, he's now 9 1/2 years old and in 3rd grade.

Take care,
Jayne

Re: Any members in the Greater Portland Maine area?

I live in South Portland. Does anyone know of any social groups or activities for a 13 year old boy with autism? He also has cerebral palsy (he is mobile though), so he isn't too interested in sports. He likes art, cooking, TV, and Sims type video games. He's gotten to the age where he's interested in girls as well, but he's in a class of all boys at school, which limits his social opportunities.
