Letter to Pediatricians
the race to stop autism has begun
too many children today are afflicted with this
most dreaded disorder
so many new mothers are trying to ascertain the
cause of their childrens regression
many believe a distant theory of genetics
toss that out and realize that we were born perfect
and autism stole our lives from us
get aggressive with diagnosing autism but please
try to save those of us that have been living with
it for years
tell parents to stay diligent in their efforts to find
a cure
tell them that we are inside this panic ridden body
that wont cooperate with what is in our minds
i want to tell you that i am an expert in this matter
because i am autistic nonverbal and panic ridden
i am fifteen years old
i was silent without a way to communicate for
thirteen years and actually lost in my own world
real hopeful of talking one day
thanks for reading this
real hopeful that you will be encouraged by an
autistic nonverbal teenager that wants a real life

Seth, you are so wise for your 15 years. I can't imagine what it felt like to not be able to express yourself....And how wonderful that you are not just communicating, but also advocating for all our children who need a voice. Thank you for sharing.

Seth I am printing this out and taking it to my sons pediatrician. I am going to ask her to pass this along to all the pediatricians in our area. If she refuses, I will do it for you myself. You are so talented, I am so proud of you and how well you write think and talk you are a perfect example of what our pediatricians need to open their blind eyes! God Bless You Seth
