I thought it was interesting to see things from her perspective and always happy to read about a successfull person living with Autism.

This book was a wake up call to me. I thought all people thought in picutres or video. I am learning the differences that people think. This was just the start of me learning how many traits that I have in common with the ASD kiddos. I liked watching Mozart and the Whale for seeing successful autistic adults.

This is one of the first books that I read on autism and I loved every bit of it. I especially love the fact that although Temple grew up in a time where autism wasn't really diagnosed and services were not readily available, her mom persevered and worked hard to find opportunities and pathways for her daughter. Temple Grandin is a hero in my eyes and she has opened the doors of opportunity, respect and understanding for those on the spectrum. If you ever get a chance to meet her or hear her speak, take the opportunity. She is an amazing individual.
