Hi all,
If you have the chance and opportunity, I attended this conference last year and felt that it was very informative, well-organized and there was just SO MUCH to take home from it (education-wise and products). If you register by May 1, you get a discount.
Here is the registration information:

One thing I found great about this conference last year was that LOTS of people brought their children and nobody cared about how they behaved and everyone was very caring. They even had a specialized childcare with special diet food, sensory toys and quiet area. This year is in Orlando so I am taking my family to also enjoy the DisneyWorld experience in JULY!! You know, long lines, crowds, heat, humidity, rain...the whole package!! Oh well, for me, it's a tax write-off so thought might as well visit the Mickey on the East Coast! We are staying at one of the Disney lower end hotels so my family can enjoy Mickey-ville while I get more information on autism. Win/Win!
There is more detailed information below, but if anyone has questions in general, I'd be happy to try and address them. I'll be there this year attending informative classes, but also, hopefully introducing my new book (crossing fingers it's out by then!).

The Autism Society of America recognizes that families and individuals living with an autism spectrum disorder have a range of issues and needs. The National Conference of the Autism Society of America is the only conference that addresses the range of issues, including early intervention, education, employment, behavior, communication, social skills, biomedical interventions and others, across the entire lifespan. Bringing together the expertise and experiences of family members, professionals and individuals on the spectrum, attendees are able to learn how to more effectively advocate and obtain supports for the individual with ASD.
