Diet Intervention and Autism by Marilyn Le Breton -

This book has slightly blown me away with the intro.  Her little boy Jack sounds just like my son.  We have started on the diet and this book has helped me so much with advice and websites to try.

The opening has made me cry and the mention of the family member buying chocolate buttons for her sons and not getting the message until she compared the addiction of certain foods to that of her son taking drugs blew me away and indeed has made us go for it and pray that it helps our son too.  happy reading x

I realise I have doubled this book sorry.  We have been on the diet for 10 days now and the differences are showing, they are slow but hey we are used to that.  More conversation and relevant responses. Calmer and happier and he wants to help out and loves to be involved in the kitchen with his sisters.  I was worried about starting but so glad we had the courage. good luck Bubs and Tom

Re: Diet Intervention and Autism by Marilyn Le Breton -

I'm sorry if this repeats still getting used to the site.  Tom started this diet 10 days ago and he is slowly coming home... That's the way I feel anyhow.  He is using relevant conversation the odd new word and interaction into conversation.  He is calmer and more focussed and this morning whilst typing he came and asked to go on Mousetrial which he loves.  Normally he would have got really upset as I am using the computer but I looked at him and said plase wait while I do this.. Ok came the reply and he sat and watched the TV.  He is more responsive and we have had short conversations about topics outside those that interest him.  Wow I only hope it continues.. regards from Bubs and Tom UK.... x x
