Hi,
My husband just got a job in Boston so we are looking to move somewhere north of Boston. I do not know much about any of the towns in that area but have heard that MA has wonderful services for children in the school districts for autism.
I have come to this forum to ask any of you for your help. I am hoping that some of you may know of good towns in the greater Boston area (preferably north of Boston)
Jameson is still in Early Intervention but will turn 3 next March.
I would REALLy appreciate any info anyone can give me. We are hoping to move very soon but want to make the BEST decision for our son.
Thank you!!

Hi-
I'm not in Boston, but north in Maine. However, I understand that there are good schools and good programs to be found there. We do have a growing number of members from MA and hopefully you will be able to connect with them....I know that the May Institute is located in the Boston area, as well as The League School and the New England Center for Child Development (I think that is the name).....I'll pass anything along that I find.
You might want to contact Unlockingautism.org and have them connect you with a representative in the Boston area.

Hi - sorry so slow to respond. We are in Rockport, MA - 40 miles north of Boston. It is right on the train line so if someone is working in boston it is a 1 hour and ten minute ride on the train (sleeping, reading, working). I did it for years as did my hubby. It's why we could live in Rockport. There are other north of boston towns on the train line, but the closer to get to town, the more expensive - - for the most part. Feel free to email me for details. We are very happy with our school system. They do not have an autism program - so they have outsourced. They are looking to start one...b/c they have a growing population, but are nowhere near it. So that could be bad or good depending on what you are looking for. Again, just email me and we can touch base. There is a MA Mamas and Papas group - you could email some of the members. Good luck and welcome to MA
