Hello everyone~
My son age 8 has autism and also my daughter age 7. I also have a typical son who is 14 and is a wonderful help with his siblings. We live in MN. My 2 youngest attend a regular school which has an autism program within it. They are both mainstreamed as much as possible. As they become older the gap widens between them and their peers. They both recently joined the Special Olympics and are in gymnastics. It's wonderful because they are accepted instead of being stared at in regular sports. My husband is wonderful, I don't know what I would do w/o him. His sense of humor is what keeps us going.
How come wiifamily doesn't show up under the people tab? Did I do something wrong?

Hi-
and welcome....sounds like you have a great family....and humor, I agree, is really good medicine.
The only reason that you wouldn't show up in the member directory is if you registered to be unlisted. You should be able to go back into your profile (next to your bio) and see if you are listed or unlisted and make the change, if needed. If that isn't the problem, let me know and I will have our programmer dig around for a solution. Please send me a message and let me know if you can't resolve it on your own.
Thanks!

I have two on the spectrum as well. They are each other's best friend. It is great to see them love on each other and negotiate like "NT kids". My son is 28 mos older but they are about the same developmentally. My daughter will soon pass him up. SHe is already starting to pass him up socially and in speech. They are both smart academically but my son cannot express it very often. Two are definitely a challenge. Welcome!
