My name is Bret Bondlow and I own a facility in Hanover, Ma called Compelling Fitness. I have designed the facility with the goal of working with kids and adults with special needs. I have been training for over 8yrs but prior to training I worked with kids and adults in residential treatment facilities, group homes and foster placement for 10yrs. During that time I developed fitness programs (informally) for the individuals to help stay focused, improve health and reduce behavioral incidents.
My goal after leaving the work (burnt out) was to develop a facility for these kids/adults to exercise/have fun and be part of the community since the opportunities are few if any. I currently work with the local DMR, collaboratives and some school systems in developing and implementing exercise programs based on each individuals needs physically and behaviorally. I currently work with autistic children, Downs Syndrome adults, MR adults, ADD children/adults.
You are welcome to look at my website www.compellingfitness.com or offer me feedback/suggestions as to your thoughts. I am continually updating my programs to meet the needs of families/group homes/programs that contact me. I look forward to hearing from you, thanks for having me on board, bret

Great website, Bret! What a wonderful endeavor....There are a fair amount of members here on FR from MA. You should try to connect with them (check the Groups section)....
Also, I'm curious to know what sort of adaptations you make for individuals on the spectrum who might have issues with bright lights, loud/echo-like buildings, crowds, etc.....
