Seen On Autism Podcast:
Episode 60 (part one and part two): I talk with Dr. Barry Prizant a collaborator on the SCERTS model, an all encompassing program for working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
We discuss a number of methodologies in this podcast including: RDI, Pivotal Response Training (PRT), ABA, TEACCH, and PECS. I have linked to the respective podcast for each methodology.
Barry is an Adjunct Professor in the Center for the Study of Human Development, Brown University, and the Director of Childhood Communication Services, a private practice in Cranston, RI. He is a 2005 recipient of the Princeton University-Eden Foundation Award for career contributions for "Improving the Quality of Life for Individuals with Autism."

My son starts a new school this week--and the education model is SCERTS.....
I've been to one 3-day training on the model and am very excited to try something new for Wynn. Anyone have experiences with SCERTS?

No - but I've been to the trainings as well, and hope to bring it to our school system when I can. As a teacher, it makes a lot of sense, would provide support, and be all encompassing in the child's "education" both in and out of school. I think it sounds brilliant. I'll be very eager to hear your opinions as you go down this path.
