Summary Statement : Treatment recomendations for my daughter (HFA, AS) from The Amen Clinic in Tacoma.

Details : My husband has been going to the Amen Clinic for 3 mos. now and it has literally saved his life. He is being treated for ADD now but for 4 years the depression caused by untreated ADD was consuming him.

At his last visit we discussed bringing our 11 year old in for treatment next. The doctor asked how he could help in the mean time. He asked for her 2 biggest problems...sleeping and Anxiety.
For sleeping he prescribed a supplament called Somnolin from Metagenics. For more than 2 weeks now our daughter has slept and had no negative side effects=)
For Anxiety he prescribed 7-Keto DHEA from Physiologics. It is importand to note that this is not standard DHEA because that actually made her feel "icky" and cranky. However we have only had mild anxiety situations to try it on and thus far had success.
We are still saving our pennies for our daughter to go through the complete brain scan proccess and hope to be able to get her in within the next 6 mos.
