Recording device

Our advocate that I hired which I always recommend... Only will do an IEP with a recording device on... It is helpful esp. if the note taker sucks. And, then you can say when & if something is misunderstood no thats not they way it went down I have it here on my recorder would you like to have a copy so you can hear for yourself. You also have to notify them in writing that you will be using a recording device. I think it varies with school system. Just give several biz days notice to be safe. Hope my tip helped. Hang loose & enjoy your next IEP ;)

Yes here you have to give 24 hours notice in writing you are using a recorder e-mail does count . I also always sent the e-mail to myself and put it in a file on my computer. I also sit by the note take at meeting to watch what they are writing, I have stoped and corrected them befor too. Enjoy Funny again Like my 3 year old likes to say when I tell him to do something NEVER!! Thanks for always making me laugh Livs Dad!
