Guardianship

08-26-08
I picked up a packet to file for guardianship of my 18 year old daughter. Filling it out is like reading a foreign language. Does any one have any ideas about where I can get Help.

Guardianship

We didn't have the money but we found a lawyer who would do the whole guardianship for us for $500.00 and she went to court with us too. I had to charge it but it was worth it!

Oh, no!

That sounds awful. A couple places, off the top of my head: the Area Agency on Aging will have caseworkers who might be able to help translate. People at Michelle's high school might be able to help. If there's a local mental health center near you, the outpatient staff will be able to assist, but you may need to schedule an appointment... Good luck!
