Victor is off again, this time for 3 days to a youth conference in San Bernardino, California...boy do I miss this kids, first back to school and in the same week he is off for 3 days...there is no one here to make my morning and evening coffee...boy my children spoil me...

I love youth groups, but have trouble getting my two older kids to join in. Daniel only wants to stay for an hour or so, and Catherine is so shy that getting her to go is hard. She has a great time once she's there, though.

I just really want them to develop their independence. Sounds like Victor is doing very well in that area!

I'm sorry you're lonely! I guess you're really well suited to home schooling. I'm not. I'm really enjoying the opportunity to hang out with other adults, whether in class or volunteering, or (gasp!) for no reason other than to socialize. It's been a little longer than 16 years. I feel like a dry well that's beginning to fill.
