I once said, loudly, in the school cafeteria, that I'd NEVER HAD A SURPRISE PARTY, and my sister, her best friend, and my friends colluded and threw me one in school. I really liked it!

that my DH saw an email from 4muskateers wishing me a happy b-day and I told him what prompted it (this post) and he felt bad that he has never threw me a surprise party - so I guess I know what he wants to do next year (oh yeah - with all his free time).

I'm pleasantly suprised on my birthday...but we had so much going on this summer...that well it flew by...just like any other day.
So I guess that means...Santa is going to be real nice to me this year...LOL...Just kidding.

tomorrow is my bday - I'm not having an expected gathering though. I've never had a "surprise party" for my birthday. I tried ot plan one for my DH's 40th (a few years back), but it was a boat cruise and it was rained out. He was still surprised and we had the party at the house....
