Hi

03-31-08
I just joined the group tonight. My daughter is 15 as well. She was diagnosed at 5. She is verbal and has moderate Autism. Her social skills are delayed and she works at a fourth grade level academically.

I'm glad to have found this place to connect with other parents who understand. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hi

02-28-08
My sweet Beanie is 7 (almost 8) and was diagnosed at 4 with moderate to severe Autism. She is non-verbal (though she does have a few "near-words" that she uses regularly and we know what she means". Our main approach is bio-medical treatments. I'm always experimenting and trying new things. I have two other children, an older girl, and younger boy, both NT. Sydney is currently GF/CF, and after some difficulty with recent supplements, we have dropped down the regiment to only include a pro-biotic, GSE, and CLO, plus Melatonin at bed time. I am preparing to start enzymes. After much reading and posting back and forth with other parents, I have decided to go with HNI chewable enzymes. I've also ordered ALA to begin chelating. We chelated for a year when she was 4 using DMPS with good results. I also need to add a good multi-vitamin and/or mineral, so i'm working on figuring out which one to go with. Always open to suggestions or questions. My main goal and mission in life is to get my baby talking. I look forward to getting to know many of you! Take care - Christi
