Our IEP is coming up for kindergarten transition. I am getting my paperwork in order and just wondering if anyone has any tips as to how to prove your child needs an aide so that it is included in the IEP. I was told our school makes it very difficult to get one and wants your child to fail miserably to prove they need one. I think that is backwards and set your child up for failure and future problems with their education.

Each school district is different. YOu would need some kind of assessment for someone to put it on the table. IS he in gen ed or special ed?
