Anyone interested in joining me to try to get a meeting with our Congressman and Congresswomen while they are home for the summer. Personally, I'm concerned with the lack of resources for our kids once they move out of the school system. What are your concerns? This is the best time to be heard...... Do you have some sort of connection with Pingree, Michaud, Collins or Snowe? Do you know someone who might know them? Let's come together and make this happen.... I have sent email messages to all of our reps in congress and have not heard anything. I think we need to get as many parents as possible to all email in one day....Once summer school starts, I think I might be able to be more organized and will get in touch with you both.

I have just started looking into what resources are there after school (he is just starting high shcool now).It was a shock the first thing the high school asked me was what are you plans for him after shcool. I had been busy worrying about which high school to send him to as we have choice shcool. I would like to join with you to meet with the Congress folks. My problem is that I am not fully educated on what is available yet. Just tell me what you need me to do! It is important to me that all of out kids have options. Shannon I'm with you on a meeting with them I would like to show my face as Unlocking Autism rep. I wrote to them all but have'nt heard back. I'm new at this part but if your willing to teach me more I will go with you to help be the voices of our children. I'm going to Florida in Aug. for a wrightslaw class and I'm hoping to take a cause in Maines disabilities acts and laws this fall but thats only if I was chosing. Call me when you can
