I have Multiple Sclerosis as does my Mom. When we were going thru our nightmare of diagnosis for my son one thing that really scared my was the "Cerebral demyelination" I asked the ped. neuro if my son might have MS. He said no, that children don't get MS. About a year later we finally got the Autism diagnosis. What I find interesting and I think needs some study, is the simililarities of the two both MS and Autism are neurologic disorders with no known cause, they suspect a genetic predisposition, but it's not suppose to be genetic. They suspect both the have an environmental trigger i.e. virus, toxins, heavy metals, environmental factors. Maybe the same virus or toxin that triggers MS also triggers Autism??? I think the measels booster shot triggered my MS as I was severely ill and dilirious for two full weeks after the vaccine. It is all speculation but I think it needs some serious research!

I know many people that have MS and a child with autism..including our family! There is indeed a connection. I agree with you as to what tiggered your MS...sadly..I hear it all the time.

Your are correct! Both Autism and MS are autoimmune diseases. The body attacks it's own tissues in particularly the the Myelin Sheath.
