Turning off email notices

04-08-08
I have searched high and low and cannot find reference to this anywhere.

I really want to stop all the emails telling me I have a message. I do not have time for all these and need to curtail this onslaught.

Please provide a link to how this can be done. I homeschool my one son and share the computer and need to keep my own website up to date.

Thanks - Bonnie

Delete a contact does not work

04-10-08
I deleted the person and I am still getting messages and she is still showing up in my contacts.

I do not want an email for every single inbox message I get here.

If this cannot be turned off than I need to delete my profile.

I do not require an email to me for every single inbox message sent to my acct here. I have 51 with no plans on opening any of them. This is nerve wracking.

Inbox

This is actually a response to the reply from Shannon re the turning off email notices.

It seems I cannot reply to your response as the two options are post a message or back to group.

Anyway it appears that the messages going to my inbox generate an email to my personal address. So maybe someplace within the inbox can be a turn off feature.

Yes there is someone who sends 2-3 messages per day and it is generating loads of email to me.

email notices

Hi Bonnie-
I think you have detected a missing link as I don't know that we have that ability built into the system....I will contact my programmers to find out if we can add that option without too much expense. In the meantime, for your groups, you can choose to receive no messages. Also, you can unsubscribe to the newsletter from me--I can do that for you at your request. Another option you have is to let your contacts know that you do not want to be notified of their postings. That is actually probably where you are getting all the messages from. You may have a contact who regularly sends a message to all her contacts with her daily postings....For now, you can send a direct message and either ask to be removed as a contact, or ask her to please stop including you in alerts. I hope this helps.

Shannon
