Though "My World Learning" has yet to break even, hundreds of the DVDs have sold for about $20 apiece. They are expected to be available in stores in Sacramento by next month, and later, nationwide. Ballard and Wise hope to donate a percentage of their profits to organizations that help families with children who have learning delays.

"My child has a voice now, and we want to spread the word to as many families as we can," Ballard says. "We try not to project into the future, but now we have hope. We want other parents of kids with autism to have it, too."
