RIght now I feel discouraged..totaly like giving up..not my son he has not been NEAR the problem or what frustrates me as much as PEOPLE who are supposed to help and KNOW things..you know it ALL comes down to politics and games..and NO ONE cares that an INNOCENT has to pay..most of society looks upon these special ones as a BURDEN at best and like what GOOD are they?? WELL I have the tinking and belief of MOTHER THERESA who cared for JESUS in HIS MOST distressing disquise when she cared for those on the streets she cleaned off MAGGOTS and took them in cared about them and cared for them..for TRULY what you do for the LEAST Of these you have done for and TO JESUS HIMSELF well you may argue that but I know its true.THIS is what I DO what GOD BLESSED me with to do and carry on with..it also its own cross to bear as Im sure anyone who truly cares for a special needs child would agree with I hope. WELL I have NO car now no way to get groceries even no way to take my son to the libray where he LOVES to go..and all the rest like to his doctor etc..then his personal aide quit and the agency that she works for is NOT very good they pay soo little who wants to work for nothing ?? and DRIVE everyone is aware of GAS prices today..RIGHT NOW..so who can do that even if they want to??? well I have tired and tried to get someone to explain these waivers cuz it seems if he did have one he could get better care..and reliable care as well but no one knows anything or so they claim and they are the ones supposed to knw..but cant get anywhere..I have asked and asked over and over and asked for help on the transportation thing but NO NO AVAIl..oh well..so I feel discouraged now its all overwhelmingto say the least..when my son started thiese symptoms it was a nightmare of its own ..I mean the seizures etc..that he went though and I WAS ALONE ..no HELP at all..and then he went to the MRDD school or so called but hey Im the ONE parent they didNOT want because I demanded something I had AND STILL DO have FAITH in my son and HE has proven it wasnt misplaced he can write and read etc now..and he;s in a charter home school here in OHIO..where we live..he has TEN hours of tutoring per week and 2 hrs of OT and speech therapy all the school pays for..awesome..Im just feeling out of it now..sorry..I know you all understand at least I HOPE you do..

Try calling ohio legal rights, ive been thru this with my son for the last 5 yrs or more and we finally got him out of the mr/dd school into one he is doing well at. they will help you no cost to you.

I found that when I felt so alone and that the whole county was against Julian, I could sit and read a book by Stormie Omartain called Just enough light for the step I'm on...the book was very encouraging to me...then I would sing over and over again the little nursery song YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE...and the one about the little ant who moved the rubber tree plant...weird I know but that little ant really kept me going...and he still does...and like Mother Treasa, I have not been afraid to hold the hand of the sick, or be grosed out by the smell of illness, I just pray I can one day truely be inside just like she was...I have a long waaaay to goooooo...you can call me or I can call you too...559-662-0651...leave me a message as I do not answer calls from unknown numbers...GOD bless you and your family...

I absolutely love the Mother Teresa analogy...She was a Terrific Role Model.

I could reach through this computer and give you a great big HUG...I think we all get discouraged from time to time...and it sounds like when it rains it pours and it sounds like you have been getting more than your fair share of Rain these days! I might be able to help a little bit...I know Parts of Ohio can be really difficult...as I have a few friends that live up there and I believe they are both members in this group too. I know of another mom that was in a similar situation with the MRDD School and she fought with them for Years...and was finally able to get her son in a different School. For the life of me, I dont understand how there are still places that can do these mrdd schools, because our children are to be included..not excluded from their peers. Let me see if I can get in touch with my friend and see if I can get the number to the attorney/advocate that represented her!
