You all know the old saying sticks and stones may break my bones but words may never HURT me. Well words of someone have hurt me to my very core and I don't know what to do. I am not holding a grudge or unforgiveness. I just know from past experience I get no where . HELP!!

Sometimes we just don't like to hear the truths about ourselves...and when other people call us on our decisions we are quick to put up the defensive banner...I know I didn't like to be told why I wasn't trying to recover Julian...then realized one day that I was doing a great injustice to GOD, by always feeling that what I did would change Julian...Now that I follow my heart and what ever GOD tells me to try...Julian makes so much more progress...Idon't want Julian to need me...and I don't want to pretend that I know it all either...which is why I will send people to the web-sites so that they can see and read the information for themselves...Hippocriut I am not, nor for anyones sake will I become one...If yu don't like who you are then change...because people will get tired of listen to how everything and everyone is stupid...so many people like to use this word in every sentance....and hear about all the self pity that they will start to turn away or say they will call you when they need you...I like to call people just to say goodmorning and Hi...I can honestly say I like who I am now...and thank GOD for people calling to say Hi, and not just because they need a favor...

When Paul asked why, God gave him this answer: "My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT).

Was Paul discouraged by this answer? It sure doesn't sound like it! He goes on to say, "So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me. Since I know it is all for Christ's good, I am quite content with my weaknesses and with insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (vv. 9-10).

So God can be glorified through your weakness. His light and power can shine through the chips, cracks, and cracks in your life, drawing others to Himself.

Maybe you could try writing them a letter to tell them how you feel? Sometimes, people "listen" better from a little emotional distance. I'm sorry you've been hurt. Sometimes, it's really hard not to take another person's words to heart.

Have you told them it hurts? Maybe where they dont mean to - maybe they also dont know?? I tried that with someone and it worked - althought I could tell sometimes that they would start to say something and then rethink it. Eventually they stopped even that. Just a thought. Deb

I do believe that when this person talks the words are not meant to HURT I just can't take it anymore...
