Nothing on t.v. holds my daughters interest except for KIDSONGS. They are music videos with actual kids running the show. She is 3 and she loves them. www.kidsongs.com (I believe) That is about as technical as we get right now!
Thanks for the feedback

Thanks Suzanne, that is interesting about your son. Does he like computerized learning? I'll focus on a couple of companies that provide this functionality.
What is working for my son, Billy

I love the idea for your group & hope more parents find time to contribute. This may be off topic a bit but I will share what has/has not worked for my son (PDD, Asperger's). He learns and retains info better when he can feel, see, touch or hear it, especially in a "fun way". This year I had him placed in "regular" 4th grade (except for math). I got blessed with a reg. ed. teacher who has a background in special needs children & is working "magic" with Billy (the Fla. FCAT & requirements are VERY tough this year, tks to the Fla. Legislature.) Anyway, one req. is that all children must read at least 15 4th grade level books each quarter & write a detailed book report on them. Billy is a good reader but because of his obsession w/Dinosaurs, animals, etc. (anything w/out real humans) he lagged far behind. His teachers found a software program called "SRC" in which the child does a multiple choice (5 possible answers) on the book he chooses. Billy reads the book aloud (this helps extremely, don't know why)to me then takes the test on the computer. They are detailed & tricky answers to choose from but he is getting over 90% correct. He sees it as a "game" (I think)maybe that's the key. They are now using it with other children w/learning disabilities and it is working out great. We've come up w/other ideas that have worked-I would love to share if anyone is interested. God Bless, Suzanne (SuziMom)
