Two books written for children and youth targeted at educating typical peers on the challenges and issues autism presents and also the unique qualities and gifts those with autism possess. One is written from the perspective of the child with autism. The other follows a young man as he journeys through his transition to middle school. Both have heartwarming characters with a good sense of humor.

At the end of each chapter is a TALK TIME or POINTS TO PONDER area to facilitate group discussion or futher thought on what the chapter covered.

Both books would be great introduction tools especially for classes or community groups getting ready to welcome an individual with autism.
