When autistic children grow into adults, the road to independence can be a constant struggle. 28-year-old Daniel Stebbins is living with Aspergers Syndrome. It's an autistic disorder that allows him to function quite normally, except when it comes to relationships.
Cheryl Stebbins, Daniel's mother: "That's been the hardest part of it, you know, to see him grow up without friends."
Daniel has a hard time dealing with people. He often doesn't understand their intentions and sometimes acts out. That lack of social skills makes it tough for him to stay employed. Since high school, he's gone through more than 25 jobs.
