On Dec. 20, Andre, a student in the district's Autism Spectrum Disorder program, made fruit smoothies with Peer Link pals Jeremy Schaldenbrand, 13, and Alex Stauffer, 12, CMS seventh-graders, and distributed them to teachers in the building.
All the while, Andre, donning a Santa hat like his pals, beamed.
REVERSE MAINSTREAM
Peer Link, a reverse mainstream program, is in its second year at CMS and growing. General education students elect to take the Peer Link class, where they learn about and with students in the autism program while practicing life skills like cooking and shopping.
