Hi,
My name is Diana, I have one daughter (27) and four boys (22) (14) (13) and (9). I have 1 grand-daughter in heaven and four grand-sons (7) (4) (1) and (2). I have been happily married for 14 years and 12 of them have been with the challenges of autism, and year 15 is this May. I used to hold support meetings for parents here in Madera, I did this for 4 1/2 years...But do to the lack of parental interest in recovering these children, In July of 2007, I stopped the support group...I still provide resources when the local agencies ask for them. Now we try and do as many family outings as possible. I homeschool Julian, and I am his teacher, doctor, nurse, one on one aide, and therapist for everything.
As long as God gives be breath, I will continue to keep looking under every stone, and move as many mountains as possible to help Julian recover, and be all GOD intended him to be. May GOD's glory shine through Julian for the world to see. amen y amen.

...explaining who is GOD...this we do by simply saying...GOD made the flowers...you can smell GOD...God made the fruits...you can taste GOD...GOD made the clouds...you can see GOD...GOD is the air we breath...GOD gives life...and so on...If I wrap you in a blanket you can feel GOD hug you...make GOD a part of everything and hel'll know GOD...you will see God differently too. As you know everything with our children has to be concrete...so add GOD to every item mentioned...Just a thought.

One of the first things Garrett learned to say was his prayers because I have prayed with him every night since the day he was born. I agree with the way you teach your child about God that is basically the same way I did with Garrett. When we go to church now Garrett says go talk to Jesus! I say yep, today is the day we go to church to talk to Jesus. We talk to Him everyday but today we Go to talk to Jesus! I ask him what else we do when we go to church and then I tell him we sing listen to the word of God and pray and see our friends. Still what sticks out in his mind is GO TALK TO JESUS! I love it!
