Hi,
My name is Diana, I have one daughter (27) and four boys (22) (14) (13) and (9). I have 1 grand-daughter in heaven and four grand-sons (7) (4) (1) and (2). I have been happily married for 14 years and 12 of them have been with the challenges of autism, and year 15 is this May. I used to hold support meetings for parents here in Madera, I did this for 4 1/2 years...But do to the lack of parental interest in recovering these children, In July of 2007, I stopped the support group...I still provide resources when the local agencies ask for them. Now we try and do as many family outings as possible. I homeschool Julian, and I am his teacher, doctor, nurse, one on one aide, and therapist for everything.
As long as God gives be breath, I will continue to keep looking under every stone, and move as many mountains as possible to help Julian recover, and be all GOD intended him to be. May GOD's glory shine through Julian for the world to see. amen y amen.

I have tried the DAN protocal for a year...then do to costs we found the natural alternatives that are just as good, and no side effects, and no regression to date...they say a picture is worth a thousand words...so see what I look like 4 years later.

I glad it works for you my student wasn't fortunate to have results but it isn't for everyone.I hope it all works in the end and you can finally have what youi want.

Just so you know anyone can join the DAN!/Biomedical intervention group you don't have to be seeing a DAN! practitioner and we discuss what treatments we are using on that group.

I would love for you to write and tell all of us about all the stuff that you do for your son. I have done alot of different things but I always like to see what others are doing so I can try the things that people say have helped their child. Garrett is on several natural remedies. he is on a vitamin B complex drops to help with speech progress, peaceful focus to calm him and help him focus, nite calm for reflux, melatonin for sleep, omega 3,6,9, probiotics, ultra inflamex for gut issues, natural calm magnesium sp?. I just started him on a mood equalizer to keep him on a even keel. Please let me know what you have done and what it affects and improvments that you have seen through that.

I agree that you don't need a DAN to implement many biomedical interventions. I looked for one finally, because I had always taken it slow and Mickie had not progressed and I felt it was time to be a bit more aggressive with the biomedical, though most are natural supplements, I wanted to get the Valtrex prescription and the Nizoral in place, also the Secretin and the MB12 shots and Nasal Spray. He is doing much better this time.

I know Diana and she is sooo right. When I first met her 2 years ago I thouht she was nuts. She isn't and Juilan is wonderful and I have never net a mom who fights so hard for her child the way she dose. The natual stuff works I am thankful that we have tryed it. People who haven't sceen Sammy in 6 months or longer are seeing changes in him it so AWESOME!! and I am not telling them that I am doing anything. This picture of him is the first one I have of him smiling and looking at the camera and our whole family loves it and can't even believe it's him they think it's his brother or Dad when he was younger. There is hope . Diana has taught me that and I am so thankful and blessed to see my Sammy in this way. !!!!!!

I'd love to have more info on what you've done and which DAN protocols they replaced. My son has been on a homeopathic remedy for about 19 months and it has definitely helped. We also use a natural mineral detoxifier for heavy metals called Zeolite. We've only been using that for about 6 months, but it too seems to make a difference. We also do some minerals and supplements, but I'm always in the market for what else is out there and what people have had success with.
