Hi,
My name is Diana, I have one daughter (27) and four boys (22) (14) (13) and (9). I have 1 grand-daughter in heaven and four grand-sons (7) (4) (1) and (2). I have been happily married for 14 years and 12 of them have been with the challenges of autism, and year 15 is this May. I used to hold support meetings for parents here in Madera, I did this for 4 1/2 years...But do to the lack of parental interest in recovering these children, In July of 2007, I stopped the support group...I still provide resources when the local agencies ask for them. Now we try and do as many family outings as possible. I homeschool Julian, and I am his teacher, doctor, nurse, one on one aide, and therapist for everything.
As long as God gives be breath, I will continue to keep looking under every stone, and move as many mountains as possible to help Julian recover, and be all GOD intended him to be. May GOD's glory shine through Julian for the world to see. amen y amen.

A PARASITE, a parasite, she had the nerve to publicly call me a loving, educated, caring parent a PARASITE! I wonder if Jenny Mc Carthy has read Amanda Peet's comments and quotes...here is what she is quoted as saying..." Frankly. I feel that the parents who don't vaccinate their children are parasites"....She is going to be the spokes person for the group Every Child by Two...a group that pushes vaccines are safe...well, I can now add a new word to all the others I have been call since I was in school...grown-up so called educated people now go around calling parents names...I wonder how she would feel if she walked a day in my shoes or yours...I wonder if after all Julian has been through...does he think of me as a parasite too...You can read the complete article in August/08 COOKIE magazine, on page 110.

I was away when you posted this. First of all, eeewwww! Nice tape worm! Second, as you probably know by now, I think there are multiple causes for autism. If a parent thinks there's a link between vaccines and their child's symptoms, they're probably right. In our case, Daniel's symptoms didn't coincide with vaccinations. Just the other day, though, I told a mom to wait to have her two year old vaccinated because her oldest child had strong reactions to the vaccines. The oldest child is not autistic, but why push it?

Ignorance is bliss she may have a formal education but we could all teach her more than she could ever dream of knowing about autism! Just as all the other idiots that comment on things that they have no clue about I will ignore her ignorant comments. She is nobody to me my son is everything to me and I will not vaccinate him again. I could care less what people think about it. If I ever had had another baby I would never vaccinate them either. So let her vaccinate let her kids and grandkids and cause autism. She has been warned and she knows what the parents of these kids are saying so if she causes her child to have autism she will have to answer for that and live with that the rest of her life. I never wish that on anyone but sometimes I wish they could walk in our shoes for about 3 or 4 years to see what we see to live the lives we live and to watch the struggles that we watch our kids go through. To see them before these vaccinations. And after I am sure that if it were her child she would feel different. But until then you can't teach I know it all anything. So (tongue stuck out blowing spit everywhere) to them lol!

TO me its just ignorance even educated people can be clueless and stupid YOUR NOTHING Like PARASITE! UNLESS we discover tomorrow the parasites arent really feeding of thier hosts thier are nurturing and loving them! because any parent that finds the strength to deal with a child that has disabilities and fight the system FOR thier child is only LOVING and NURTURING.... what do they know they have degrees not the real teaching tool called "EXPERIENCE" that we so lovingly shoulder each and everyday!!! KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND SHOULDERS Squared they got more coming I"M SURE!

Before I knew anything about autism, I used to think that people who didn't vaccinate were a little wacky. If her brother is "inventing" vaccines, I imagine she is getting only one-sided info, but it still doesn't justify calling names. I'm all for much slower schedules and teaching both parents and docs basic info like "don't vaccinate a kid who is sick at the time." If people choose not to vaccinate at all they shouldn't be ostrasized. I think that anyone who had spent time with a vaccine damaged kid would be a little slower to judge. Even if you believed the evidence was only anecdotal, would you knowingly risk your child's health? I wouldn't have if I had know better.

Well, I can call people in her shoes names too.. But, I try not to. Mostly, people are totally one sided. I am not a proponent or opponent of vaccination. I am a proponent of better testing, greening, schedule ammendments, & evaluating necessity. Until, I have that option or level of support & safety then I guess you can call me & daughter a parasite and also vaccination damaged/impared. Really, if we would all just quite fighting who is wrong or right I would be satisfied for now with making it safer, less toxic & responsible... WILL WE EVER GET THERE :)

Hi Diana, Sometimes God moves in mysterious ways ~ you never know what's around the bend! I didn't see Amanda Peet when she was on Letterman (just before the X-files movie was released), but a friend said Ms. Peet remarked that her daughter, Frankie, wasn't speaking too much; she didn't have too many words. Hmmh?!? I looked on the Internet, but couldn't find confirmation anywhere! I would be a small, wee fraction of a human being if my attitude was, "Serves her right", but, honest to God, I pray it's a fluke and Frankie's just a "late talker". I truly hope Ms. Peet doesn't find out the hard way what it's like to have a child with vaccine injury induced Autism ~ no matter how much poetic justice that would seem! I wonder if the mom of the child with Autism that they got to appear with them believes something was amiss with the child from birth or did they see regression at some point in time? The notices to us on this rally were sent out yesterday...and a urgency was put on them...I couldn't get to people I knew, so I pray all goes well out there in NY...in favor of our kids.

Amanda's brother in-law in a Pedi Dr. in Phily...and his mentor who she speaks highly of is non other than Paul Offit, we co-invented to Rotavirus vaccine and others...the rotavirus was recalled for a while and then fixed and retured to the Dr's to give...
