Hi,
My name is Diana, I have one daughter (27) and four boys (22) (14) (13) and (9). I have 1 grand-daughter in heaven and four grand-sons (7) (4) (1) and (2). I have been happily married for 14 years and 12 of them have been with the challenges of autism, and year 15 is this May. I used to hold support meetings for parents here in Madera, I did this for 4 1/2 years...But do to the lack of parental interest in recovering these children, In July of 2007, I stopped the support group...I still provide resources when the local agencies ask for them. Now we try and do as many family outings as possible. I homeschool Julian, and I am his teacher, doctor, nurse, one on one aide, and therapist for everything.
As long as God gives be breath, I will continue to keep looking under every stone, and move as many mountains as possible to help Julian recover, and be all GOD intended him to be. May GOD's glory shine through Julian for the world to see. amen y amen.

Hurray one grand baby has the chicken pox...little guy even has some in his mouth...he has a low grade fever and is doing well...we are treating with vitamin A & D per the natural doc...Adan is 2 and has not one vaccine...I'll keep these little guys far away from harm as possible...now my daughter in-law is having Noah get his 1st. polio shot at 2 and 1/2 yrs old...she will listen to her mom before me and Peter...my son wanted to wait longer, and since Noah has only one good 100% functioning kidney we wanted her to wait...please pray with me for Noah not to have any signs of regression...my heart is in my throat...

Chicken pox are icky, but it's good to get them over with! Praying that Noah won't prove to be as vulnerable to the vaccines as Julian was.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop I will pray as well .. thats also a really good ... Reminder .. is there a prayer chain on here? If its not against the rules maybe we could start one .. and (THOSE who want to participate and are not offended by this) could add thier child tho the list and we could just remember our list and it would keep everyone on our minds just a suggestion... BEST of wishes... ONE AND ONLY one good thing about sick babies is .. if they are autisitic or not they bond with thier caregivers when they are ill this is a great time for you to bond with the sick one! I know that sounds crazy but David can almost appear normal when he is sick! He lays around and doesnt talk and doesnt push my affection away he allows me to cuddle and share moments with him... and I thank god for those moments! While I never want my child ill they are precious moments! Best of wishes

Hi Diana, Thanks for your e-mails. They always make me know that there are others out there going through some of the same things I have been through. Sorry about the chicken pox. Beau had them in 2nd grade. He was miserable. I will be praying for the little one to not scratch too much. We used calamine lotion on Beau to help with the itching. if you have any white oak trees in your area you can take a leaf from them and wash it, rub it around the inside of his mouth that will help the sores to go away quicker. That's what my mother did for me. We didn't have any around when Beau had them. Stay in the faith believe that if Jesus brings you to it, He will bring you through it. God bless you.
