4muskateers's Bio

Hi,

My name is Diana,  I have one daughter (27) and four boys (22) (14) (13) and (9).  I have 1 grand-daughter in heaven and four grand-sons (7) (4) (1) and (2).  I have been happily married for 14 years and 12 of them have been with the challenges of autism, and year 15 is this May.  I used to hold support meetings for parents here in Madera, I did this for 4 1/2 years...But do to the lack of parental interest in recovering these children, In July of 2007, I stopped the support group...I still provide resources when the local agencies ask for them.  Now we try and do as many family outings as possible. I homeschool Julian, and I am his teacher, doctor, nurse, one on one aide, and  therapist for everything.

As long as God gives be breath, I will continue to keep looking under every stone, and move as many mountains as possible to help Julian recover, and be all GOD intended him to be.   May GOD's glory shine through Julian for the world to see.   amen y amen.

needles
by 4muskateers on 08.08.08 - public - 132 visits

well for years now I have been contemplating taking Julian to an aucpuncturist...well just now I made him an appointment...it is for Wednesday...I have kept Julian cleaned up and safe for 5 years now...I guess GOD decided it was time to open up the meridains and allow a more even flow in the body...Everything I have done with Julian has been in GOD's timing...I was on my way to buy turtle food and ended up at the acupuncturist office first...So here we go trying another avenue to healing...no one can ever accuse me of not trying or leaving stones unturned...I just wish I had an idea as to how many darn stones I need to flip over before I find the right one or ones.

I'm interested to hear how this goes too...I dont think richie would do it at all. Not only would he not do the needles...but he isnt going to sit or lay still either. LOL Good Luck.

Diana, I know Beau would have never held still for needles. He is terrified of them. He had real bad allergies when he was little and had to take allergy shots. I have however taken him to a chiropractor on several occasions and that really seemed to help. Beau even asked about going back to see Dr. Farmer one time, so I know it made him feel better. You could always try that if you haven't yet. Blessings to you in your attempts for improvement. Shirley

Leave no stone unturned, thats what I have heard all my life. I HOPE THAT IT IS TRUE. Good luck in whatever you choose to try to help Julian. I would do the same. God Bless.

Let us know how it goes! I don't think Daniel would tolerate the needles, but if Julian does, you never know.

I have always wondered myself if they did acupuncture as a means of therapy for autism and developmental problems it just seems like such an exotic treatment that it JUST MIGHT work! SO, let me know how it goes... it should interesting if nothing else.. I'm not sure David would sit still either! Good BRAIN food something to chew on!

Let us know how it goes...I've been wanting my husband to go to see if it helps with his chronic headaches...

I hear ya! We have tried so many things and just about everything has helped to some degree. I guess I am still hoping for the "big one" that makes a significant difference. The upside is that I have learned about things I might not ever have encountered before. Hope that things go well and that you get some good results. I see an acupuncturist now and then and she's done some cranial-sacral with Harrison, but I've never been confident he would hold still long enough for the needles.
