4muskateers's Bio

Hi,

My name is Diana,  I have one daughter (27) and four boys (22) (14) (13) and (9).  I have 1 grand-daughter in heaven and four grand-sons (7) (4) (1) and (2).  I have been happily married for 14 years and 12 of them have been with the challenges of autism, and year 15 is this May.  I used to hold support meetings for parents here in Madera, I did this for 4 1/2 years...But do to the lack of parental interest in recovering these children, In July of 2007, I stopped the support group...I still provide resources when the local agencies ask for them.  Now we try and do as many family outings as possible. I homeschool Julian, and I am his teacher, doctor, nurse, one on one aide, and  therapist for everything.

As long as God gives be breath, I will continue to keep looking under every stone, and move as many mountains as possible to help Julian recover, and be all GOD intended him to be.   May GOD's glory shine through Julian for the world to see.   amen y amen.

Does your child show you that they are aware of how the sky changes? This is the second time Julian looks out the car windows and scans the sky...the first time the first clouds in our area came through and they looked like little sheep, and today well they sky is grey on one side and the sun is doing this popping in and out thing...But Julian's facial expressions were interesting to me on our drive home from take the boys to school...it seemed like if this was the first time he noticed the sky...I think this happened because every morning he brings down the visor as we drive into to the sunrise, so a think he was actually looking for the sun...and that is why he had this quizzical look on his face...what to you all think, am I trying to make more out of what I see him doing?

No, I think he's noticing his surroundings and responding to them! Sounds very much like he was expecting the sun to do what it usually does, and was surprised when it didn't. That's great! I think most of the time, Daniel doesn't care what the sky is up to... Yes, I just asked him, and he says he doesn't. (!) Once in a while, though, he'll see something that interests him, like a full moon or an interesting cloud, and he'll comment on it. Julian must be growing a lot, now, to do so many new things! Congratulations!
