4muskateers's Bio

Hi,

My name is Diana,  I have one daughter (29) and four boys (23) (15) (14) and (10).  I have 1 grand-daughter in heaven and four grand-sons (9) (5) (2) and (3).  I have been happily married for 16 years and 14 of them have been with the challenges of autism, and year 16 is this May.   I am currently studying at ISOM...an online school of ministry, I am working for my BA.I  provide resources on autism when the local agencies ask for them.  Now we try and do as many family outings as possible. I homeschool Julian, and I am his teacher, doctor, nurse, one on one aide, personal cheer leader and  therapist for everything.

As long as God gives be breath, I will continue to keep looking under every stone, and move as many mountains as possible to help Julian recover, and be all GOD intended him to be.   May GOD's glory shine through Julian for the world to see.   amen y amen Jesus.

4muskateers's Compositions

odd sounds

well for the last few days Julian has been I want to say talking, but we are not really sure yet...you all know that when your baby starts to talk we repeat what we think thay are saying...well we have been doing this with Julian...we are all so afraid of making a big deal around him in fear that he will stop these sound approximations..I thaught of coming here...we ask him todo something~and it sounds like he says why or why me, or do I have too~we'll ask him to pick up something and it sound like he says~not again...there are a few other sound alikes, but we get so excited we forget to write them down...we are very quick at restating what we think he said and then giving hm our answer, that Julian shrugs his shoulds, covers his mouth and runs off...when I hear these garble approximations I want to jump, hug him, laugh, yell AMEN...but I know Julian that I can't or it will be the last time I will hear him utter anything...so as I sit hear typing, crying, smiling and dancing in my seat...I thank GOD for all his blessings, and for having this place for me to come to...I have no extened family to share Julian's acheivements or accomplishments with so foggyrock has become my special place...thank you all for taking time to read what I post, e-mail me back or ask me questions..Blessings to you all

That is so exciting. I don't think my son will ever be vocal. He has learned a few signs and when he does them, I am quick to acknowledge. Mostly, he communicates by typing on a keypad. I am hoping to have his Say It Sam communication device next month. Fingers crossed.

I LOVE to read posts like this! It's very encouraging!! I can understand not being able to shout AMEN!! Just know that God hears you wether you vocalize your feelings, or just think them. Ok, here's a shout for you~~~AMEN!!!!! BTW. I'm tearing up and dancing in my seat for you, too! :0)

I'm so thrilled for you, you're so smart, keep up the good work sister. I know it's been a long, hard road, but oh, it's paying off. I have such hope for our Julian and his awesome mommy. Let me know what happens next; ok?
