In 2003, when our son was two years old, we received his diagnosis of Autism. Since that day, the lives of our entire family have been changed in ways we could have never imagined. Several doctors and specialists gave us thier own "realistically" prognosis of what we could expect in the years ahead for our son and we both said NO! We have rejected the suggestions of placing him at a "facility", and spent the next couple years educating ourselves about the disorder and finding out we could do something about it to give our little champion the chance he deserved. God has given us the blessing and chosen us to be the special parents that this boy would need. We have accepted the challenges and responsibilty and never looked back. Our boy, with the support of so many, has overcome the predictions of the naysayers and is breaking through barriers every day in his development. He is proving to be a true champion and a success story in the recovery from Autism.
