I am the proud, single (and occasionally insane) mother of four incredible children who have taught me more than I ever thought possible about patience, passion and perspective. Ranging in age from 16 to 4, my children look at this world through the lenses of dyslexia, Asperger's, ADHD/anxiety disorder, and PDD-NOS. An easy ride, it isn't, but life certainly isn't boring!
In addition to my 2-legged children, I have a menagerie that includes 4 horses, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and the occasional reptile or amphibian creature.
In my personal life (what's that?!) I am a musician, midwife, and stained glass artist. I have a variety of interests that totally depends on my time constraints and mood.

...putting your passion and energies where they don't need to go. People who pity you or your child do NOT need your energies. Do not allow the stares, comments, or behaviors of strangers to undermine your purpose. Remember Eleanor Roosevelt's comments: “Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people” and “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
