I am the proud, single (and occasionally insane) mother of four incredible children who have taught me more than I ever thought possible about patience, passion and perspective. Ranging in age from 16 to 4, my children look at this world through the lenses of dyslexia, Asperger's, ADHD/anxiety disorder, and PDD-NOS. An easy ride, it isn't, but life certainly isn't boring!
In addition to my 2-legged children, I have a menagerie that includes 4 horses, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and the occasional reptile or amphibian creature.
In my personal life (what's that?!) I am a musician, midwife, and stained glass artist. I have a variety of interests that totally depends on my time constraints and mood.

I decided to pot some plants this weekend for the front porch. Mr. B "helped" me, which was awesome considering he absolutely HATES anything on his hands. He was so engrossed in putting the soil in the pot, patting it down "just right" and then putting in the flowers and water, that he didn't realize just how dirty he was getting :) He took such care, I told him he definitely had a green thumb. He looked at his hands and said "No, Mommy - BROWN!"
