I am the proud, single (and occasionally insane) mother of four incredible children who have taught me more than I ever thought possible about patience, passion and perspective. Ranging in age from 16 to 4, my children look at this world through the lenses of dyslexia, Asperger's, ADHD/anxiety disorder, and PDD-NOS. An easy ride, it isn't, but life certainly isn't boring!
In addition to my 2-legged children, I have a menagerie that includes 4 horses, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and the occasional reptile or amphibian creature.
In my personal life (what's that?!) I am a musician, midwife, and stained glass artist. I have a variety of interests that totally depends on my time constraints and mood.

Mr. B has a need to jump, particularly at night before bed. Not just a couple of jumps but continuously, for about 15 minutes. For the past two years, it's been "The bed is not a trampoline" as he's led to his mini-tramp. Over and over...you get the drift. Last night, Mr. B came into the bedroom while I was getting ready for bed, and proceeded to begin his nightly jumping...right into the whirling ceiling fan. After ensuring he was simply scared, bruised and had a battered nose, we curled up in bed to snuggle. As he was drifting off to sleep, I heard a sleepy little voice say "No jump on bed. Fan bites." Ceiling fan 1, mother's wisdom 0.
