Hello,
I am a stay at home mom to 4 wonderful children. i would not trade the time i get to spend with them for anything. The kids are growing up so fast it is unreal. My oldest is in second grade this year, my little me...lol..(she looks just like me) is in kindergarten, and then my baby girl was 4 in November, and my baby boy was 3 in December...He is the reason for joining this site.He is in the process of being evaluated for Autism. So far all they will tell me is that he has developmental delays, Gross motor delays, mixed receptive/expressive language disorder, sensory issues, low muscle tone...and then they say.."Early signs of Aspergers" or "Possible PDD-NOS" , we take him back again this month..i am hoping to hear something other than bring him back in 3 months..:) and his regular ped, said he thinks hi is on the higher end of the spectrum. and his speech therapist said she thinks he might have apraxia...so there you have it.....my introduction....:)...i am hoping to make some friends who understand without a word....:)

While we were at the ER the other day we were waiting for the doc to come in, and I was sitting with Silas on my lap, and he had his favorite car of the week in his little hand. it was yellow. and in the diaper bag i had a box of hunny teddy grams, the box was yellow, and i had on a red shirt with a yellow flower on the front....well i bet you can guess where this is going..lol...Silas asked me for his car so i got it for him and out of the blue he sits up straight and said "HEY..... SAME SAME SAME" as he pointed to his car the box of teddy grams and my flower on my shirt..LOLOLOL...he seemed so shocked and happy about his discovery..lolol..it was the cutest thing i have ever seen..lol..i said yes they are the same...what color is the car box and flower..he said blue...LOL..i could care less if he got the color right....i am ECSTATIC he noticed they were the same color!...then a while later he looked at his shoes and the bin they put the needles in and my shirt, and said "HEY!!!! SAME SAME SAME" as he pointed to his red shoes the red box for needles and my red shirt..LOLOL.....i asked him again what color it was..he said blue..LOL...but o well!! he is noticing colors that are the same! i don't think i ever was so happy to be in a ER in my life..LOL...and i was sooo happy he made his discovery in the quiet of my lap.

What an amazing moment those moments of enlightened learning are! So glad you were there for it and realized what a wonderful thing it was. Kudos to Silas and to you! Deb

I'm so glad he made a new leap! We used to call those the "windows of opportunity," when Daniel was suddenly ready to do or learn something. Did they tell you at the hospital about the BRAT diet for diarrhea? Bananas, Rice, Apples, Toast... It'll slow down the fastest runs. Hope you don't catch it, too.

We went in because he has some kind of bad virus, he has had extreme diarhea all week, more than normal, his poop is usually like a infant, but this was EXTREME, and he has a REALLY bad couch, every time he tried to eat he would cough and cough and cough. this is the first day since sunday he has ate and has not pooped more than once in a hour. so i am hoping he is on the mend...:)

Yeah. What is wrong? I hope he is ok. That is a wonderful discovery on his part though. Isn't that sooo like our lives...good moment and a bad moment all at once?
