I am the dad of my 4 y/o daughter Liv. She was dx in August of 07. Liv is my only child. If you stop by my page leave me a post below. God Speed to you all.
I am in my mid 30's recently divorced (unrelated to autism & pre-regression). Liv & I enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. This summer I hope to take her camping with me. BTW, I am the worst speller of all time please take a laugh at how I spell ;)

I am curious what you guys think of this study. I do not know the credibility or validity of it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18445737?ordinalpos=10&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum

Tylenol depletes glutathione. Glutathione is needed to detox properly. Motrin does NOT deplete Glutathione. Giving Tylenol after a vaccine can hinder the persons ability to detox. The study is credable but Tylenol is not (IMO) the single cause of Autism; it is a possible contributing factor.

I completely believe that acetaminophen (tylenol) use could be an aggravating factor when combined with vaccines. Studies totally unrelated to Autism show that acetaminophen metabolites can do big time oxidative/inflammatory damage if the dose is high enough OR if gluathione stores are depleted. I don't think a *normal* person would be negatively affected, but I do think a child/person with already defective glutathione production issues could be damaged. There has to be more to it than merely the vaccines... there has to be a tower of circumstances that crumble for some of our kids when they are assaulted with vaccines/pesticides/toxins at such a young age. What a wonderful thing it would be if doctors/politicians heeded studies like this and changed recommendations. It is the tip of the iceberg. Link tylenol/vaccines and more people will question vaccines themselves.

I gave tylenol too...but we mostly used Moltrin...and Julian is on Moltrin per DAN Dr. daily for the inflammation at the brain stem. Nothing else seems to help...I know the tylenol did not cause the enflammation at the brain stem...I WONDER WHAT DID? no I don't, I know.

I agree with Shannon - tylenol does have properties that make it harder to detox. It is not used in my house anymore (except by me...hee hee)

I did the same thing as Shannon with giving Tylenol before vaccines.

I've heard DAN doctors describe how ibuprofen disrupts the glutathione pathways--which we know are key to detox--so there may be some valid points to consider. I know that my doctor always told me to give tylenol BEFORE any vaccinations---and by doing so, I may have made my son even more susceptible to an immune reaction....Something to consider as the cause of autism is very complex and involves more than on insult, most likely.

I don't think that Ibuprofen is associated with Autism, but I do believe that the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine is associated with Autism. In fact a recent study has found anti-inflammatory medications to help decrease brain inflammation in patients with autism and Alzheimer disease.

they will try anything to get the microscope away from the vaccines and there ingredients...I WONDER WHY, they need to try and prove vaccines are safe...they waist so much time and monies on this avenue...they need to put their energy in finding a way to prevent and recover children from getting autism.
