I am the dad of my 4 y/o daughter Liv. She was dx in August of 07. Liv is my only child. If you stop by my page leave me a post below. God Speed to you all.
I am in my mid 30's recently divorced (unrelated to autism & pre-regression). Liv & I enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. This summer I hope to take her camping with me. BTW, I am the worst speller of all time please take a laugh at how I spell ;)

So the ever famous MIND institute as part of one of the studies gave Liv a full-on MRI. It was a process trying to keep her asleep, positioned & scanned. (No drugs or chems used). Anyway, after the scan the tech guy gave me a full run down of Liv's brain. He navigated through her brain with me in 3D. It was amazing. Long story short.. He said, Liv has a neurotypical brain from a structural perspective. He said it looks exactly what it is supposed to. Then he told me on most of the autistic brains he sees more space in the gray matter typically, certain areas larger than what they are supposed to be.. blah blah blah. He said, I don't see any of that with Liv & this is one of the best scans I have ever gotten that she had a beautiful brain. (nerd, I bet he says that to all the dads) We go back in a couple of years to see if it has changed. Fingers crossed. So, what does it mean?

Cool! I would love to see my kids and compare the two. I think it would be neat to see. But I am a nerdy scientist myself! LOL! Before....

Kevin, we had all the vaccine titers run...they came back abnormally high...then we looked into the reaction to the virus itself and to the toxic ingredients in the vaccines...it was also determined that Julian has no immunity to some of the vaccines given.

Also, they do have a bunch of studies that are not genetic in fact Liv is in a couple. The one that gave the MRI was to identify subtypes of autism. Indenpendent of genetics. In fact, they might use it to ID types that are not genetic.

This is great news...The MIND institute won't even see Julian...this is because he doesn't follow the critria...not genetic...test show vaccine injury...so they won't see him...we have and so has the Regional center tried to get him in and they won't touch this child...But we did have a qualitative EEG done and it was beautifully colored and showed Julian has the brain of a child with ADD not Autism...go figure...But it is great news to find out she wasn't born with this autism, because there would have been some abnormality show up on the MRI...in some ways we are blessed by science and in others we are not (vaccines do not equal immunity).

That's one of the mysteries of the universe. The good news is they don't see any damage, the not bad, just more difficult, news is you'll have to experiment to see what works for her in terms of treatment. But, that's what you were going to do anyway, right? Keep plugging. Wonders can happen.

What great news! That is wonderful that she has a "beautiful brain".....like only a scientist can appreciate!
