Family with disabled kids not allowed to fly Southwest

Here is a video to make your own conclusions on: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2008/07/07/dnt.family.off.plane.kiro

Southwest airlines has become very oppressive in some of their flight & passenger policies. If you have a moment send Southwest autism awarneness & sensitivity messages

I think this could have been handled alot better and agree with the person that said it sounds like it was the people involved...that made the bad decisions....Really is a sad story.

Southwest even provided us with free roundtrip tickets when we flew to New York to see Dr. Krigsman.

We have always flown Southwest and they have always been great to us. United is the airline we had huge issues with. I think it comes down to the individual employees and any company has a huge responsibility to correct, educate and discipline those employees.

Seems like there might have been some other options for this family, besides leaving them stranded...I can understand the need for children to stay seated for safety reasons, just dumping them is unacceptable. I have flown many times with adults who were inebriated and inappropriate and they were not bumped off a flight....

I am in shock. If you toss them off...help them get somewhere! I think it's time people either understood kids with disabilities or just tell us not to fly for any reason...very, very sad. I sure didn't see any issue in the video..kids seemed fine there...

Ho-ly cow! We've had some wonderful flight attendants the few times we flew with the kids... Of course, we've never flown Southwest. Yup, I'll contact them.
