I am the dad of my 4 y/o daughter Liv. She was dx in August of 07. Liv is my only child. If you stop by my page leave me a post below. God Speed to you all.
I am in my mid 30's recently divorced (unrelated to autism & pre-regression). Liv & I enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. This summer I hope to take her camping with me. BTW, I am the worst speller of all time please take a laugh at how I spell ;)

Urgent - please make a phone call TODAY to save our kids with autism
To members of The Pilgrims: the journey to a new world for autism
Amanda Copeland
Reply please call Governor Schwarznegger and URGE a passing of the California state budget immediately 916-445-2841. 9/10 all autism funding ceases.
All children with autism in the state of California lose their services (therapy, medical, respite and more)entirely if a state budget is not passed by 9/10. Families will go bankrupt. Jobs will be lost. Kids and babies will languish with no therapy or respite. In addition - hundreds of thousands of the state's poorest residents will lose their MediCal - meaning no medical treatment for the poor again.
Please call today and get anyone you know to call today urging a passing of even an interim budget to avoid this nightmare - which HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN THE HISTORY OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA until now.
This call will take 10-15 minutes of your time - talk with an assistant in the governor's office directly- they will answer the phone. It does not matter if you do not live in CA.
Thank you

Well Westside Regional Center employees will not be paid as of Sept. 3rd, 2008 until the budget passes. Most if not all of us will report to work as a matter of loyalty and duty to the people that we serve. This is a mess. What about the people we serve. What is going to happen to them when vendors stop providing services. This is an outrage. What about employees that have to feed families. Shame shame on the gov and the legislators

Synder issued a temporary order Tuesday (August 19) to temporarily half the 10% Medi-Cal provider rate reduction that went into effect July 1. The judge's order impacts the Medi-Cal rate reductions for Medi-Cal "fee for service" providers including doctors, dentists, pharmacists, adult day-care centers and other providers who provide services to people in the Medi-Cal program. The order reverses the 10% cut to those Medi-Cal providers for dates of services provided on or after July 1, 2008. The order excludes some hospitals who do not contract with the State and do not provide emergency care. The case number is CV 08-3315 CAS (MANx).
