My name is Melissa. My 8 year old son was just diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, and was previously diagnosed with ADHD.  I am in the process of having my 7 year old daughter tested for these both as well.  I am positive that she will be diagnosed too.  I am learning so much about my kids now that I know what is going on.  I feel like I am finally seeing things their way for the first time in their lives.  It's nice to finally connect better with them.  For so long I felt as though I was doing something wrong and they were different because of me.  Now I know there is a reason.  What a relief.
