Hi my friends~
Our journey began May 3, 2004, when a beautiful baby girl was born but not without complications. She was 5 weeks premature with lack of oxygen to her brain which resulted in frontal brain damage. She started out actually being my great neice but God chose a different family for her. I have been officially her mommy since she was 3 months old. (Long story short) My husband became her daddy and she also has two sisters and a brother. Lucky little girl, huh? She was diagnosed with Autism this year and what an amazing little girl! I can't imagine my life without her. Everyday she brings me joy and I can see her progress daily!
She receives several different kinds of therapy during the week and I use every opportunity to polish my pebble. I am looking forward to being a part of this group.

I came across a book titled UNLOCK THE EINSTEIN INSIDE by DR. KEN GIBSON about 3 years ago but I loaned it to a friend of mine since Skilynn was too young at the time. I since have purchased it again and I would highly recommend it to all parents searching for answers to help their child who is cognitively delayed. It sheds new light on the many struggles that Skilynn has. Makes perfect sense to me. Good luck! :)
