Hello...In September of 1992 between my mothers birthday and my 5 wedding anniversary, my son Jimmi arrived, what an awesome baby he was. By the time he was 3 1/2 I knew something was wrong, we had a tough time getting a final diagnosis and by the time he was 7 it was confirmed he was Asperger's on the low scale. His maturity level is quite delayed. He is my very own Peter Pan, he does not want to grow up. He is happy in his fantasy world and to be honest when he allows me entry it sure seems like a wonderful place to be, nobody ever gets hurt or teased there, and everyone always does the right thing...oh yeah and he rescues damsels in distress on a regular basis. I probably like many of you at one time wondered WHY US...but that is a very heavy question to weigh your mind down. I learned over time to no longer question it, and to those who can't see past the autism to the amazing person underneath I feel sorry for them for being so close minded. Jimmi makes me stop and see the magic in the world around me, little things make him happy and honesty is a huge part of his character.
