Hi my name is Cindy and I am a mom to 2 wonderful children Joshua is 6 and Natasha will be 5 in March. They are the light of my life. They keep me going and put a smile on my face even when I think I should be crying.
Joshua has a DX of Childhood Bipolar
Disorder with Anxiety and psychotic features, PDD-NOS and ADHD he is my inspiration and hero. Everyday is hard for him. You can always see the fight in his eyes, even when he is throwing everything that he can get his hands on, beating on his sister, repeating the same thing over and over again. You can tell he is fighting to make it stop.
My daughter is a pure sweetheart. She loves her family and is so caring. She loves to play baby dolls and takes very good care of all of her dolls. Most of all she loves her brother no matter what. It is a joy to see the love she has for him. She may get mad at him or feel sad that he did something to hurt her but 20 mins later she is getting him a glass of water or covering him up while he takes a nap. She is going to grown in to a wonderful women and mother someday.
For the longest time I
questioned what my purpose was. Well I have found it. I am
thankful that god has chosen me to take this walk with my son. I will
not say that it is easy because it is not, and I think any of you would agree with me. Joshua’s bad days are really
bad and they break my heart more and more each time, but when he has a
good day it makes everything worth it. I am not the type of person to
sit back in denial and do nothing for my child.
It means the world to me to be part of this community and be involved
in the fight to find a cure and spread awareness.
