I'm a 34 year old mother to Jack, age 4.8 year old with Autism and Eli, 2.5 NT and wife to Bob. I'm an Ob/Gyn in NH and love to spend my 'free' time hanging with my boys.

Today was a bad day. We always have our up and down days, but today, somehow, seemed worse than other days. Today Jack peed on my brand new treadmill that I never have time to use. Then he peed on the tractor ride at the corn maize exhibit. Then he pooped all over himself outside at the house. I had to choose between my boys today. Eli, Jack's NT little brother wanted to stay at the corn maize, but Jack had had enough. I tried to keep Jack somewhat calm as Eli rode the tractor ride one more time and looked at the goats. Ultimately, I had to pull Eli away as he screamed "I'm not done looking at the animals!" I was so frazzled I forgot to buckle Jack into his booster seat and didn't realize it until we were a mile down the road. (Hey, at least I finally realized it!) Sometimes I worry that Eli is always going to get the short end of the stick because we spent so much time and energy on Jack. Eli is so good that its easy to not worry about him while we are worrying about Jack. But I know he needs our attention as much as Jack does. Though he's pretty good at getting our attention when he needs it, I guess.
Well, just needed to vent, feeling better now.
